The team at Reef Ecologic are passionate about science and management communication about the ocean, reef, issues, people and solutions. We work with schools, communities, businesses and government to share knowledge, raise awareness and inform audiences about important issues.

We have given presentations and written books, articles and appeared on TV, DVD and radio on a range of topics including the Great Barrier Reef, marine protected areas, reef and rainforest, climate change, sharks, fish, coral, shipping, fisheries, research, remediation, ports, dredging, dumping, productivity and the future.

Sustainability Plan – Phoenix Islands Protected Area

The Phoenix Island Protected Area (PIPA) is responsible for the management of Kanton Island and was required to develop a sustainability plan under the PIPA Management Plan 2015-2020. PIPA worked collaboratively with Reef Ecologic and Arup to build on existing knowledge and conduct expert assessments and consultation at Kanton Island in June 2017.
