Join us as we count down to World Oceans Day with Reef Blitz 2023!

Reef Blitz is an event that uses the iNaturalist citizen science app to record biodiversity for a particular area in a certain timeframe. Traditionally, marine wildlife remains underrepresented in the database. Through Reef Blitz, we aim to expand the marine species record in the database and increase community knowledge and involvement, leading to more educated and engaged marine park users and stewards.

iNaturaliust is the most successful citizen science application in the world. It is easy to use, fun and involves taking a photo, artificial intelligence and scientific peer review. We aim to further promote the tool to encourage more people to use it, learn from it and share observations in our region.
